Director of Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB)
The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Director of Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB). The Director of CVB is responsible for planning and managing CVB sales strategies, tactics and budgets. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to cultivating and maintaining relationships with primary industry partners such as Travel Michigan, Tourism Industry Coalition of Michigan, Check-In Michigan, etc. The CVB Director is also expected to attend educational industry meetings and seminars to remain at the forefront of industry trends.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Hospitality or another related field is preferred. The position requires two – five (2-5) years’ experience in tourism, marketing and or public relations. The position also requires experience in CVB sales, managing and forecasting budgets, devising sales strategy and marketing efforts. Qualified applicants must have experience supervising and leading teams, the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing and a knowledge of tourism and hospitality is preferred.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%.
Salary: Negotiable based on applicant experience.

Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Specialist
The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce, Region 6 PTAC is seeking a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Specialist to provide counseling and assistance on government registrations, small business certifications, bidding, procurement procedures and internal program compliance to the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP). This position is for someone who is interested in assisting business firms do business with the Government, increase revenue and create jobs. This person will have a direct impact on helping businesses in the region.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or another related field. The position requires a minimum of one (1) year of direct experience in business and/or economic development and/or government procurement programs as well as knowledge of social media and web platforms.

The Learning Guide will work directly with after school students providing support with day school and after school lessons and homework. Additionally, the Learning Guide will provide students with positive relationship building techniques and provide supervision and instruction on a variety of educational and enrichment activities.
Associates Degree in Education, Management, Youth Development, or related field is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in direct work with youth and families required.
