(FLINT, Mich., 01/08/2024) Explore Flint & Genesee, Genesee County’s Convention & Visitors Bureau, secured 22 meetings and events to Flint & Genesee this year resulting in approximately 8,000 hotel room nights for the region. These bookings bolster tourism in the area and have a positive economic impact on the region.
“This year, we have an amazing lineup of events coming to the region. Some longstanding events like the HAP Crim Festival of Races, Back to the Bricks, and The Ally Challenge will be back alongside new events that aim to impact the community, such as the Michigan Dental Associations Mission of Mercy event,” says Amari Steward, executive director of Explore Flint & Genesee. “I am grateful for the work that our team has done to attract these events to our community and bring these dollars to our economy.”
