Learn How to Respond to Government RFPs

PTAC Seminar Reveals Secrets to RFP Success

(FLINT, MICHIGAN, AUGUST 12) Looking to grow your business through government contracting? Then learn how at the “Responding to the RFP” seminar presented by the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) of the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce on Friday, August 19. The seminar, which takes place at the Regional Chamber in the Mott Board Room from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is designed to provide the critical elements needed to successfully respond to a government request for proposal (RFP).

According to Dustin Frigy, Regional Chamber Director of PTAC there are secrets to government contracting that businesses without prior government contracting experience do not know, and how to create a winning proposal is one of the most important.

“Before you can get a government contract you must provide a proposal,” said Frigy. “However, understanding the best way to develop a proposal that will win the contract takes an understanding of just what the department issuing the request for proposal needs to see. That is why this seminar is a critical tool for any business considering going after government contracts. PTAC can provide assistance and this seminar focuses on one of the many ways that we can help your business successfully work with the government.”

The seminar will be conducted by Todd Olson, the former Program Director of the Northwest Michigan PTAC office in Traverse City. Olson will focus on the critical areas businesses need to understand to position themselves for successful government contracting.

Attendees also will learn about the services and support the Regional Chamber PTAC has available to help with the contracting process. Those encouraged to attend include management and employees who currently support or have an interest in facilitating government contracting within their companies.

The cost for the seminar is $15. The Regional Chamber is located at 519 S. Saginaw St. in downtown Flint.
