For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum

Immerse yourself in a forest of over 157 species of trees, explore wetlands and hike through numerous trails in Burton at For-Mar Nature & Arboretum. While you are there, check out their Visitor’s Center, a hands-on experience with live animals, and visit the DeWaters Center, which houses over 600 birds, including owls, hawks and nuthatches.

Seven Lakes State Park

Located just outside of Genesee County, in Holly, is Seven Lakes State Park. Experience farmland, rolling hills, a forest and the dam, which broke one large lake into seven small lakes. For water lovers, there are about 230 acres of water and several miles of shoreline.

Stepping Stone Falls & Picnic Area

One of the most scenic locations in Mid-Michigan is Stepping Stone Falls. Located just outside of Flint, the falls are accessible from the Flint River Trail. If you enjoy biking, you can rent a bike through the Flint Bike Share and ride the trail from the city to the falls.

Rust Park

A little green space inside of the small city of Grand Blanc, Rust Park is a perfect gathering place.  Equipped with a pavilion, fenced-in play structure, tennis and basketball courts, and a baseball diamond, this park offers something for everyone.

Flushing County Park

Located off McKinley road, Flushing County Park is a community gem. The park features walking and cross country ski trails, ball diamonds and tennis courts, and fenced off-leash dog areas. A perfect park for families to enjoy.

Holloway Reservoir Regional Park

It’s not just one park, it’s more than six parks rolled into one. At Holloway Reservoir Regional Park in Davison you will find Buttercup Beach, Wolverine Campground, Elba Equestrian Complex and more. If you love nature, you will find your happy place at Holloway.
