Coffee City: Best Places to Get Coffee in Flint & Genesee

In late 2017, Awesome Mitten named Flint, Michigan Coffee City. From coffee manufacturers and roasters to small cafés, Flint knows its brew. If you are looking for a coffee experience in Flint & Genesee, here are the places to go:

Café Rhema

This 1920’s style café in the heart of downtown Flint features specialty coffee drinks, food and craft sodas. It is famous for its Nitro Cold Brew and Bubble Tea that comes in a multitude of flavors.

Flint Crepe Company

The downtown creperie featuring locally sourced food keeps its coffee close to home, too. The Flint roasted coffee, Heyday Coffee Roasters, is sourced from a farm run by friends of the owners in Costa Rica and is processed right down the street from their storefront.

Fireside Coffee Co.

Fireside Coffee Co. has been part of the coffee world for 30 years. Although they distribute all over the world, you can have a taste for yourself at their café in Swartz Creek.

Foster Coffee Co.

With a downtown Flint location on the first floor of the Ferris Wheel building, Foster Coffee Co. has one mission, to foster better community through coffee. The company doesn’t just serve a great cup of coffee, it also hosts community events such as Conversation Peace, a Creative Mixer Series event.

The Good Beans Café

The Good Beans Café has been part of the Carriage Town district for 18 years. It is known for its unique atmosphere and specialty coffee drinks.

Wildroot Coffee

Housed at Woodside Church, Wildroot Coffee is an elusive coffee shop that has survived multiple moves by doing popups and finding residence in temporary locations. Through all of it, they still serve a great cup of coffee.
