The B-Dogs Specialty Hot Dogs Cart now has a brick-and-mortar location in Davison. B-Dogs Specialty Hot Dogs is based at 715 N. State Road.

Mark L. Miller has been appointed the interim president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. Miller will assume full responsibility for operational activities July 28 following a transitional period. Miller currently serves as the is vice chairman of the foundation’s board.

The Flint Institute of Arts has announced Matthew Osmon as its new director of education. Osmon is an art educator born and raised in Flint. He most recently worked for Mott Middle College for 20 years.

McLaren Flint has received the American Heart Association’s Get With the Guidelines – Stroke GoldPlus quality achievement award for a fourth consecutive year. Along with this recognition the hospital also received several other awards for their stroke care as well. This includes the Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus, Target: Stroke Honor Roll Advanced Therapy and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll awards. The hospital was also recognized for meeting the scientific guidelines as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Mott Community College has hired Jamie L. Zecman as its chief of police for the department of public safety. Chief Zecman arrives with 24 years of experience in law enforcement and is currently working as the deputy chief of Public Safety and Emergency Management at Washtenaw Community College.
