Amy Hovey Talks Unintentional Leadership, and Other Learning Opportunities in March

With more than two decades of experience in finance, government relations, commercial real estate, construction, housing and neighborhood revitalization, Amy Hovey has learned quite a few things about leadership along the way.

“I think a lot of people feel they can’t be a leader because they’re not a CEO or because they haven’t been elected into a position by the public,” said Hovey, who now leads special projects at the C.S. Mott Foundation. “But there are many people who play a quieter leadership role in the community. And that’s just as – if not more – important.”

Hovey refers to this as “unintentional leadership,” amyHoveyand will be delving further into the topic on Friday, March 17, from noon to 1 p.m. Her talk is part of INSPIRE Leadership – a speaker series featuring thought-provoking presentations from local leaders and experts.

While the event is free and open to the public, registration is required. To save a seat (and the included lunch), click here.
