5 Ways to Leverage Your Convention and Visitors Bureau

The Flint & Genesee Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) offers a host of services designed to attract visitors, meetings and events to the region.  How can you get the most from your CVB?  Consider the following services that are provided free of charge:

Plan a meeting – The CVB can serve as a meeting, sports tournament and convention planning liaison with hotels, restaurants and attractions in Flint & Genesee.  Blocks of hotel rooms can be arranged, entertainment can be obtained and banquets can be planned through the CVB.

Identify events in the area – The CVB can keep you abreast of happenings in Flint and Genesee County, help you arrange group tickets and provide meal options and discount information.

Provide volunteer options – Need help with registration, greeting or hosting at your next event?  The CVB Sparks may be able to assist.  Sparks are volunteers provide hosting and registration assistance for events in the region free of charge.

Assist with event bids – Looking to draw an association event, sports tournament or entertainment to Flint & Genesee and need assistance with preparing a bid?  Then the CVB can help you prepare  and present your bid.  CVB staff have prepared hundreds of bids and made hundreds of presentations over the years.  Your organization can benefit from our experience.

Assist with site and facility reviews – The CVB can work with your organization to review potential venues for meetings and events.  CVB staff can work with your meeting planners to help find the perfect location Flint & Genesee.
