The World is Coming to Flint

International journalists, tour operators and travel agents will visit Flint during a Familiarization Tour (Fam Tour) on April 12 that includes Detroit, Flint and Frankenmuth. The tour is part of the U.S. Travel Association’s International Pow Wow, the travel industry’s premier international marketplace and the largest generator of travel to the U.S.

The IPW group will arrive in Flint in time for lunch at the Cork on Saginaw, visit the Durant-Dort Carriage Company offices as part of the history of Flint and then travel to Sloan Museum, Buick Automotive Gallery and Flint Institute of Arts.

“The IPW marketplace has not been in the Midwest since the inception of the Pure Michigan campaign and Travel Michigan,” said Cheryl Defrain, Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau. “It’s great that they decided to visit Flint as part of the tour.”
