Vendors Sought for Chamber’s YouthQuest Program

The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce YouthQuest program is looking for businesses and individuals interested in providing services to the afterschool enrichment program as a vendor.

YouthQuest is a comprehensive, free afterschool program that serves more than 2,000 K-12 students in 18 area schools.

The mission of YouthQuest is to provide children with opportunities to grow through safe, engaging and exciting learning experiences, surrounded with caring, responsible adults and sustained by an involved, contributing community.

The program is seeking vendors who will help accomplish this mission by aligning safe, engaging and exciting learning experiences with core program objectives.

YouthQuest is currently seeking people or businesses that have experience working with K-12 students in the area of the arts (visual, instrumental, vocal, dance or theater), physical fitness (Zumba or sports) and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities.

“These are three big areas of interest for YouthQuest, and we would like to have more of these types of vendors available to our sites,” said Rhetta Hunyady, Vice President, Education and Training, Flint & Genesee Chamber.

YouthQuest reinforces learning that takes place during the school day by offering high-quality activities and services that encourage the exploration of new interests in the areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and the arts, and promotes academic achievement, physical fitness, youth leadership and volunteerism.
