UM-Flint Expands Community Connections with ‘Maize & Blue Days’

Help welcome back thousands of University of Michigan-Flint students, faculty and staff — and promote your business.

As the UM-Flint prepares to celebrate its 60th anniversary this year, it also is looking to expand traditional fall activities to invite the whole community to celebrate with us and help welcome back students and faculty.

Area businesses are invited to participate in “Maize & Blue Days” Sept. 1-15 by offering a 10-percent discount to faculty, staff and students with a UM-Flint identification card. The discount is applicable only to the individual with the ID, not an entire party, and does not apply to alcohol purchases.

UM-Flint will be promoting participating businesses and organizations to our campus in an effort to further build a connection between UM-Flint’s students, faculty, and staff, and all the businesses and fun experiences available to them right in their own backyard. Participating businesses each receive a poster to display indicate your participation in Maize & Blue Days. The whole community will see you are a friend of UM-Flint and the poster signals to our campus community that you are participating and offering a discount.

Please contact Pam Zemore in the Office of University Relations at (810) 237-6570, if you would like to participate.
