PTAC Reveals Keys to Government Contracting

Workshops September 12 and October 3

The Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce Procurement Technical Assistance Center’s (PTAC) will host Selling your Products or Services to the Government workshops in September and OctoberThe workshops will take place on Wednesday, September 12 and Wednesday, October 3 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce in the Mott Board Room.

Dustin Frigy, Director of PTAC for the Regional Chamber says local businesses can attend either workshop to learn how to grow through government contracting.

“There are a wealth of growth opportunities available through government contracting,” said Frigy. “Businesses large and small can learn how to work with local, state and federal government departments.  Attending either seminar will reveal the ways to tap into the possibilities.”

Attendees also will learn about the services and support the Regional Chamber PTAC has available to help with the contracting process. The workshop will benefit management and employees who currently support or have an interest in facilitating government contracting within their companies.  

The seminar focuses on the following topics:

  • Eligibility Requirements
  • Types of Solicitations
  • Marketing Strategies
  • Laws and Regulations
  • How to Request a Post-Submission Debriefing
  • What Products and Services does the State of Michigan buy?
  • Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
  • How to Obtain Bid Information

There is no cost to attend, but reservations are required. The Regional Chamber is located at 519 S. Saginaw St. in downtown Flint.
