PTAC Hosts Flint & Genesee County Contracting Workshop; Succession Planning Webinar

Are you interested in providing goods or services to the City of Flint or Genesee County?  Or do you own a family business and need a better understanding of succession planning?  Then you should join the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) as they host a Flint & Genesee County Contracting Opportunities 5.0 workshop and a Succession Planning webinar.

The workshop takes place on Wednesday, June 12 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the webinar takes place on Thursday, June 27 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The workshop will be held in Conference Room A at the Chamber offices in downtown Flint.

The Flint & Genesee County workshop is the next step in a five-part certification series designed to help businesses work with government departments. The webinar is presented by the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) and is a Family Business Advisor program on succession planning for family-owned businesses.

Dustin Frigy, Director of PTAC for the Chamber says businesses have two important opportunities to learn about government contracting and succession planning next week.

“Working with the City of Flint and Genesee County can provide growth opportunities for local businesses,” said Frigy. “The workshop will reveal the nuts and bolts of navigating the government contracting process.  In addition, PTAC is joining forces with the Chamber’s Education and Training department and MMTC to provide a very important webinar for family-owned businesses.”

There is no cost to participate in the workshop or the webinar, but registration is required. To register for the workshop and/or the webinar or for more information contact Chelsea Schutz at (810) 600-1437 or email .
