Learn to Sell your Products and Services to the Government

PTAC Sponsors Free Government Contracting Seminar on September 9

(FLINT, MICHIGAN, SEPTEMBER 6) Business opportunities through government contracting will be explored on Friday, September 9 as the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) of the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce presents Selling your Products or Services to the Government from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce in the Mott Board Room.

Dustin Frigy, Director of PTAC at the Regional Chamber says government contracting just may provide the best “new” opportunity for your business.

“Many businesses don’t think about government contracting when they are looking to grow,” said Frigy. “But they really should take a look at getting in on the over $400 billion dollar government contracting market. There are many opportunities for businesses large and small to work with local, state and federal government departments. If you come to the seminar on September 9, we will show you the nuts and bolts of government contracting, so that you can explore the possibilities for your business.”

Attendees also will learn about the services and support the Regional Chamber PTAC has available to help with the contracting process. Those encouraged to attend include management and employees who currently support or have an interest in facilitating government contracting within their companies.

The seminar focuses on the following topics:

  • Getting Registered
  • Types of Solicitations
  • Marketing Strategies
  • Laws and Regulations
  • Debriefing
  • What Products and Services does the State of Michigan buy?
  • Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
  • Obtaining Bidding Information

There is no cost to attend, but reservations are required. The Regional Chamber is located at 519 S. Saginaw St. in downtown Flint.
