Talent Matters Webinar Series: Diversity in the Workplace

Nationwide talent shortages are at a 10-year high, with no immediate end in sight and no one-size-fits-all solution. To challenge businesses and organizations to think creatively about the way they develop, attract and retain talent, Flint & Genesee Group is hosting a webinar series through November 2022, culminating in a talent summit in December.

Sandra Etherly-Johnson

This month’s webinar will focus on diversity in the workplace, led by Sandra Etherly-Johnson, the Group’s director of diversity, equity and inclusion & community relations.

“The main goal is to promote awareness and understanding of how people with different backgrounds, cultures, ages, races, genders, sexuality, religions, diverse-abilities, and beliefs can best work together harmoniously,” said Etherly-Johnson. “It is important for all organizations to look within and see where they can improve, become more effective, and also to understand what does and doesn’t work in their workplace culture.

The webinar will cover the following topics:

  • the definition of diversity
  • the benefits of a diverse workplace
  • The difference between diversity and inclusion /belonging
  • Inclusive Leadership
  • Embracing diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace

“The webinar will provide information that highlights positive ways that changes in behavior can affect themselves, their colleagues and their organization.”

This webinar will stream live directly to Flint & Genesee Group’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
