Flint & Genesee Chamber PTAC Hosts Flint & Genesee Contracting Seminar

(FLINT, MICHIGAN – Sept. 6, 2013) On Wednesday, September 11, the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce PTAC will host a City of Flint and Genesee County Contracting seminar.  The workshop takes place on Wednesday, September 11 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Chamber offices in Downtown Flint.PTAC

According to Dustin Frigy, Director of PTAC at the Chamber businesses should consider learning how government contracting can increase growth and diversification.  The Flint & Genesee County workshop is the next step in a five-part certification series designed to help businesses work with government departments. He says the workshop will provide all of the information needed to pursue local and county government contracts, along with navigating the bid process and developing proposals.

“Working with the City of Flint and Genesee County can provide growth opportunities for local businesses,” said Frigy. “The workshop will reveal the nuts and bolts of navigating the government contracting process.  This is the latest part of our 5-Part Government Contracting Certification process that can provide businesses with the strategies needed to successfully work with government departments on the local, state and federal level.”

  • Federal Contract Opportunities 1.0 – October 2
  • Navigating Bid Opportunities 2.0 – October 23
  • State Contract Opportunities 3.0 – November 13
  • Elements of a State Proposal 4.0 – November w0

Attendees also will learn about the services and support the Chamber PTAC has available to help with the contracting process. The series will benefit management and employees who currently support or have an interest in facilitating government contracting within their companies.

There is no cost to participate in the series, but registration is required.  The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce is located at 519 S. Saginaw in downtown Flint.
