Expand your market potential at ‘Meet the Buyer 2018’

The Region 6 Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), on May 11 will host “Meet the Buyer” for businesses looking to expand their customer base through government contracting opportunities.

This year’s event – which will be held from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Riverfront Banquet Center in Flint – features 21 buyers from various local, regional, state and federal agencies.

The format resembles ‘speed dating’ and provides a fast-paced, innovative way for businesses to connect with buyers from across the region. Attendees will rotate among different agency tables, learning how the organization buys, what they are buying and other valuable procurement information. Each buyer has five minutes to share information about its organization and what it buys, followed by 15 minutes for attendees to briefly present their companies and ask questions.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to have a face-to-face connection with buyers at the city, state and federal government,” said PTAC Program Manager Jasmine McKenney. “Small businesses looking for diversification opportunities and wanting to tap into that market should attend.”

Steven Koprince, managing partner of Koprince Law LLC- Legal Solutions for Government Contractors, will be the keynote speaker.

The cost is $40 per person, with lunch provided. Pre-registration is recommended and space is limited. Register online at the FlintandGenesee.org/meet-the-buyer.
