Celebrate Apple Season at these Flint & Genesee Orchards

Spend a Saturday with hayrides, u-pick apples, fresh apple cider and donuts, and celebrate apple season at these local orchards.

Almar Orchards

The all-organic Almar Orchards in Flushing doesn’t just make apples, they are also the orchard behind J.K.’s Farmhouse Ciders. With six different hard ciders being distributed to over 2,000 stores across the country, the orchard stays busy. But don’t worry, they still have time to host Farm Day Hayrides and events like the Scrumpy Skedaddle 5k and 10k run.

Mueller’s Orchard and Cider Mill

Located in Linden, Mueller’s Orchard and Cider Mill is one of Genesee County’s oldest orchards. With over 7,500 apple varieties, fresh donuts and cider, you are sure to find something you’ll love. The orchard also has a play area perfect for younger kids.

Porter’s Orchard Farm Market & Cider Mill

Porter’s Orchard, located in Goodrich, is filled with fun activities in the fall. With live music on the weekends, hayrides, a corn maze and – new this year – camel rides. They also have u-pick apples and pumpkins, and a petting farm. Their farm market has cider donuts, cider slushies, caramel apples and farm fresh honey. The orchard also hosts special events including a tractor show and Love Your Pet Weekend.

Montrose Orchards

Montrose Orchards has been part of the community since 1913. Its farm store offers fresh Michigan fruits as they come into season and other delicious treats including blueberry wafflecone ice cream and apple cider slush. Discover their beautiful orchard on the Pumpkin Fantasyland tours and pick your own pumpkin along the way.

Spicer’s Orchard

Located on Clyde Road in Fenton, Spicer Orchards has been harvesting apples for five generations. In the store, you can buy fresh apples along with other fruits and vegetables from their farm. Also available are fresh cider donuts and warm apple cider, perfect for a chilly fall afternoon. Fun family activities at the orchard include picking your own apples and a fall maze. Adults can also enjoy Spicer’s Winery which serves wine and hard cider made onsite.
