This fast-paced virtual event provides an innovative way for small businesses to connect with federal, state and local government agencies, and large prime contractors from across the state. The event is presented by the Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance PTAC and the Saginaw Future PTAC in partnership with MEDC Pure Michigan Business Connect.
Our keynote speaker to discuss contracting with the State of Michigan will be Jared Ambrosier, Chief Procurement Officer for the State of Michigan. Jared takes over as head of the DTMB’s Central Procurement Services after serving the past three years as the office’s enterprise sourcing director. He was integral in leading the efforts to purchase personal protective equipment for frontline workers during the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic and is also responsible for leading efforts to improve customer satisfaction scores by 27 percentage points since 2018.
Jared has worked for the state of Michigan since 2013, when he began with the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs supporting their purchasing efforts. He holds a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management with a specialization in information technology from the Eli Broad College of Business, Michigan State University.
