I-69 Thumb Region Hosts Regional Summit; Presents Exporter of Year Awards

The I-69 Thumb Region will host its third annual Regional Summit on Thursday, September 18 at the Holiday Inn Gateway. Opportunities related to talent, regional projects and industry trends are the focus of the event, which is slated to run from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Exporter of the Year Awards will also be presented during the summit.

This year’s event is hosted by the newly formed I-69 Thumb Region, which brings together economic development efforts across seven counties, including: Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, St. Clair, Sanilac, Tuscola and Huron counties. The summit will provide an update on key trends and efforts in the region to promote growth.

The event will feature expert panelists, including: Lisa Katz, WIN Network; Kevin Miller, Superintendent of Cros-Lex School District; Scott Corrin, MDARD; George Erickcek, Regional Prosperity Plan; Glenn Stevens, MichAUTO; Jeff Wright, CEO of Karegnondi Water Authority and Serge LaVoie, Southwest (Ontario) Economic Alliance.
