An iconic Flint business will celebrate a century of serving Flint & Genesee at this year’s Hot Dogs & Hot Rods event during the Back to the Bricks cruise. Koegel Meats is 100 years old this year and is among several sponsors of the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce annual member appreciation cookout, which will be held Aug. 18.
The members-only cookout features free food from the grill, along with complimentary beer and wine on the lawn of the Wade Trim Building. Music will be provided for dancing and fun. RSVP is required. The event, which runs from 5-9 p.m., is free for members and their guests. Attendees must be 21 years of age.
Lewis & Knopf, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Blackstones, Michigan Fence Co., Fifth Third Bank, Northgate, Landaal Packaging Systems and Serra Automotive are also sponsors.
In addition, Chamber members are invited to show off their classic cars along Second Street while watching cars cruise on S. Saginaw Street.
