Kettering University is included in Genesee’s impressive roster of schools and is ranked number one in the country by U.S. News and World Report for Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.  The University of Michigan-Flint has brought  Flint-Genesee County pride in academic excellence and tradition that U of M is known for.  Baker College, Michigan’s largest independent college, and Mott Community College, a leading research institution, are also located in Flint-Genesee County.  We are proud to be home to such impressive institutions of higher learning.

Michigan’s new tax plan reduces and in some instances eliminates business taxes for most businesses with corporations paying a flat 6% tax.  That alone makes it easier to do business in Genesee County but when you combine it with tons of available property, low cost of living, easy highway accessibility, and close proximity too major markets, it makes it hard not to consider.
