Coggno Training Through the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce

(FLINT, Mich., March 11, 2014) — Build a more productive and skilled workforce with business training opportunities through the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has expanded its business training offerings to include Coggno online training courses.

“We’re excited to offer these affordable training resources to our members and the business community in Flint & Genesee,” said Tim Herman, Chamber CEO. “Our partnership with Coggno enables us to assist local businesses in developing their greatest asset – their people.”

Coggno is an internet-based, on-demand program offering thousands of online training courses for employee development and certification in a variety of categories including Human Resources, Compliance, Workplace Safety, Software, Business Management and more. All courses are written and developed by industry experts.

Coggno courses are available for purchase through the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce web site.  All courses will be available on-demand, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and administered through an employee’s workstation, home computer or mobile device.

Online training offers a cost-effective replacement for off-site seminars and training sessions. Costs for Coggno courses vary based on subject matter, with discounts available for bulk purchases. A business does not have to be a Chamber member to purchase Coggno courses. For a detailed list of course offerings click here.

“The benefit to businesses using Coggno is twofold; they only pay for the courses that are relevant to their enterprise, and they don’t need to send employees off-site to complete certification and licensing coursework, eliminating downtime,” said George Wikinson, Director of Operations and Business Training.

When Coggno online training courses are purchased through the Chamber website, companies can also access the state-of-the-art, proprietary Learning Management System that facilitates tracking employees’ progress in chosen coursework, making it easy for supervisors to distribute, monitor, and mentor employees in their chosen courses.

As an added benefit to the business community, the Chamber will co-host a free monthly webinar series on topics of interest with Coggno. Webinar details will be available through Chamber publications, social media and on the web site.
