Businesses Can Learn About Creating a Vision in Sept. 17 Zing Train Seminar

(FLINT, Mich., Sept. 12, 2014) – Zingerman’s is known nationwide for its mouthwatering breads, baked goods and more. But it’s also become quite the name in the business world, by sharing its unique approach to business via seminars, workshops, speakers and more.

Business people throughout Flint & Genesee are invited for a taste of Zingerman’s business leadership program on Wednesday, Sept. 17, as ZingTrain, in association with the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce (FGCC), presents “Creating a Vision of Greatness: Make Time to Figure Out Where You Really Want to Go.”

From 8:00 a.m.-noon at the Flint & Genesee Chamber, 519 S. Saginaw St. in Flint, seminar participants will learn:

  •  Zingerman’s approach to creating a vision and key elements of a vision
  • Tips for writing a vision that provides momentum and excitement
  • How to build a stronger network of peers to help overcome roadblocks

The ZingTrain seminar series is part of the FGCC’s expanded business training opportunities for 2014.

“Zingerman’s believes visioning is why its business has been so successful. We want businesses throughout Flint & Genesee to have access to the motivation and inspiration behind that visioning,” said George Wilkinson, Director of Operations and Shared Services for the Chamber. “We’re always looking for ways to help businesses in our community, and creating a vision is an essential component for success.”

The cost is $50 per seminar attendant, and seating is limited. Registration is available at: https://webdev.flintandgenesee.org/events/zing-train-creating-a-vision-of-greatness/.

Zingerman’s approach has been successfully applied nationwide in a wide variety of businesses and nonprofits that are committed to improving the quality of their customer service, including banks, insurance agencies, health care providers, museums, libraries, and non-food retailers.
